If I’ve learned anything about wisdom, it’s that age doesn’t always matter. I’ve met some very wise teenagers and idiot boomers. Age offers more opportunities to develop wisdom, but age can also impact mental ability. Some people have external circumstances that impact them preventing them from getting wiser. Lots of people just don’t care. Tipping culture. It’s how businesses scammed the Jack’s Bar Virgin River Mountain T-Shirt Also,I will get this general public into paying additional costs so they could avoid paying their staff a living wage. We work the majority of our lives, during our fittest years of health, for the promise of a golden retirement, when we will probably too old and ill to enjoy it properly. I saw this exact thing happen to my dad. He worked his ass off for his entire life, got hurt on the job and was forced to retire (but he at least did get a nice settlement from the injury), but then immediately discovered that he had cancer, and died a few weeks after surgery to remove said cancer due to a blood clot that the doctors never spotted. He never got to enjoy any of the things that he always wanted to during his retirement. “I want to live my next life backwards: You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in a nursing home feeling better every day. Then you get kicked out for being too healthy. Enjoy your retirement and collect your pension. You get ready for High School: drink alcohol, party, and you’re generally promiscuous. Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities. Then you become a baby, and then… You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions – central heating, room service on tap, and then… You finish off as an orgasm.” **~ George Carlin**

I wouldn’t even mind working most of my life if work/life balance was better in that we have work schedules similar to school schedules where you get a 1 week spring break, 2 week winter break 2.5 month summer break/sabbatical, and numerous 3-4 day weekdays scattered about. Nowhere gives that much vacation time, and good luck trying to take more than 2 weeks off at a time. Most companies won’t allow sabbaticals – they call that unpaid leave and don’t let the Jack’s Bar Virgin River Mountain T-Shirt Also,I will get this door hit you on the way out. My grandfather worked his ass of his entire fucking life. Showed up every day, never called in sick, only missed work when he was older due to surgeries. The shop he worked at for 30 years (and helped establish and LITERALLY HELPED BUILD THE PHYSICAL GODDAMN BUILDING) forced him out a couple years ago, they saw him as a product of a time gone by and wanted newer people in management. Him and my grandma are now on social security barely scraping by.
