I have an early 2011 MacBook Pro that still holds 88% battery design. It’s too bad Apple long since stopped supporting the Jackie Are You Here Where’s Jackie Joe Biden President Stars T-Shirt in contrast I will get this OS. Idk I’ve been using smartphones since they came out, battery lasts a day easily. Seems to me the problems are with people spending too much time on their phones. This is some great apple marketing. Literally for the last decade they have been prioritizing design over form but just when they actually make a functional design this gets posted with their laptop on the front. First it was screen size plus thinness war, I wouldn’t mind a screen PPI and battery war nowadays…g’head, make em fatter and heavier idc, can’t even grip em nowadays anyway with these big ol mitts

If you are familiar with Right-to-repair and have tried to repair your own devices, the Jackie Are You Here Where’s Jackie Joe Biden President Stars T-Shirt in contrast I will get this reason becomes obvious. It’s basically an excuse to make devices as unserviceable as possible. I’ve read many articles where someone is questioned about a design decision and they will typically say “Well we HAD to in order to meet the design requirements for thinness and waterproofing” I love my iPhone, but my god does the battery suck. I miss going out with my Asus on 20% and energy saving mode and still making it till the end of the day. The irony is Apple is the reason everything started going thinner and thinner. And now they decide to go thick, and then people are “Hurray”, and Apple gets credit for that too….ffs. Most thin and light laptops I’ve seen reviewed seem to have 6-10+ hour battery life these days and loads of low to mid range android phones come with all day batteries with upwards of 10 hours of screen on time. I can’t comment on high end android and iPhones but battery life doesn’t seem to be a huge issue these days.
