It will not seem like it but you got very lucky with them, that is a whole lot more than I have ever heard anyone else get! Yep and travel insurance won’t cover it either as Airbnb is refunding it so when they call Airbnb to confirm the Jack skellington collab led Zeppelin signature halloween shirt Besides,I will do this claim, they can’t help them out at all. I do not understand why people continue to use this service, especially if it’s not a big group needing accommodations. Show up as early as possible and be prepared for a scene. Make your problem the host’s problem. If you get there before the other person your arguing position is much improved. Maybe they’ll be the one to admit defeat and leave, in which case problem solved. Maybe even “Yes officer, there is a problem, this person cheated me out of rent.” Want to bet whether the host is following all of Vancouver’s related laws? They’ll probably scamper to find you a place and smooth things down. Unfortunately, you are likely to be screwed. AirBnB will definitely refund you since you can’t stay there. They may try to find you someplace else but they typically will only go for 10-20% over what you paid. I heard a rumor that someone once got 30% but that’s the most I’ve ever heard. Since nothing is available there they might try to say that staying an hour away is in your budget. Or they might just say “expect a refund in ten days” and leave you to figure it out. If so, I might ask if I could pay my rent to them and crash on the floor. If Airbnb won’t give you a refund, have the credit card company reverse the charges. AirBnb can only try to find you another AirBnb but can’t do anything to match prices. You’ll get a refund, of course, but no free hotel. At best, you’ll get $100 for your inconvenience.

I’m just relieved I found a place to lay head tonight at this point. I was getting worried! I’ll deal with the Jack skellington collab led Zeppelin signature halloween shirt Besides,I will do this rest when I get home. You’re fooked man. Airbnb support and greedy hosts are awful combo. What’s the point booking months in advance if they can just cancel it to book someone a higher rate? You probably already got a reply but here’s my experience when host double booked, Airbnb provided me with a voucher (the same amount as what I paid) and I had to fight to get a bit more compensation too Ya that guy I talked to was actually pretty good. Got my refund and then a $500 voucher. I’m pretty impressed. That said, I still don’t have anywhere to stay tomorrow as accoms are totally booked for the weekend and the few bnbs I’ve found (as I’ve called as many hotels as possible) aren’t responding.
