Making money through investments isn’t the It’s Willy Benson Time shirt but in fact I love this same thing as being self-made. They didn’t create that value themselves. They didn’t do any of the work that cause those investments to increase in value. That was done by other workers. Ok and? Anyone can make a brokerage account and buy shares. It’s not some exclusive club hidden in a cave somewhere. A share of Coca Cola costs $59. Anyone can buy that, including Coca Cola employees. Part of being self made is choosing not to waste money on coffee and instead invest it. Perhaps throwing a child or two into traffic to cause a pile up so you can stop traffic and cross faster? Time is money after all. Remember, if you steal from the business that’s embezzlement, but if you steal from your employees that’s good management.

If an employee asks for a raise that would pay him more than his other minimum-wage employees, fire him and have him use his final two weeks to train his replacement — and if he fails to properly train his incoming replacement, do not provide his future employers with any positive recommendations. Also don’t bother to train the It’s Willy Benson Time shirt but in fact I love this incorrectly trained employee further as that’d cost time and money, just let him sink or fly on his own, and if he sinks he’ll train the next guy because having good employees when you can have cheap employees with low sense of self esteem, that you can bully into submission. There are other ways too, like stealing from your customers and/or stealing from the government. Let’s just say that with my first boss, what the customer saw in the samples was not the same quality as what they actually ended up having installed. And as he did a lot of cash business, the amount of sales tax collected was massively underreported. It’s all about making the right decisions. Choose not to be born to poor people. Choose not to pay as many taxes. Choose not to pay people a living wage.
