With a name change to something considered gender neutral, and an appearance change as simple growing long hair as a man/short hair as a woman, LAOP could be confused by bad actors with heads full of stereotypes as trans. I could see it happening. Hell there’s people that have convinced themselves that Henry Cavill is secretly female. Literally anything is a tell if your brain is that broken The few times I have seen things trying to say Henry Cavill is secretly trans, it always comes down to the Its Ok To Feel All The Feels Mental Health Awareness Shirt Apart from…,I will love this fact he is so okay with things they don’t believe a “manly man” sound be okay with. It shows their own bias and it is horrible. It also shows that no matter how you are, someone will make an issue out of it and often times in ways that doesn’t make any sense. Honestly, I think most of the Its Ok To Feel All The Feels Mental Health Awareness Shirt Apart from…,I will love this people who say that think he’s hot, but they “can’t be one of them gays” so he must be a woman. There’s a whole conspiracy theory that a ton of famous people sold their gender identity to the devil in exchange for fame and fortune. Here’s a good video essay on it: Claims that some celebrity is trans is so rampant among certain conspiracy theorists that it has become a running joke on r/Qult_Headquarters. It’s mostly about females who are actually men. The most prominent one is Michelle Obama. (Usually, the claim is that she is definitely a man, but poses as a woman to hide the fact that Barack is gay. Their daughters were either adopted or kidnapped.) The most recent is Tina Turner—look at those muscles! (Apparently, no one has ever heard of a gym.) There are people who pose collages of celebrities with “proof” that they are all transgender. The proof is usually as convincing as Ms. Turner’s physique. A lot of these people are actively looking for excuses to think someone is trans because they’re very keyed in to the moral panic around it. Changing your name from “Samantha” to “Sam” and cutting your hair is probably all it would take.
