Remember the It’s a Philly thing Philadelphia Eagles shirt and by the same token and Pixar movie co-starring a very Apple-esque robot thing, set on a space ship where all the future people are obese and transported around on pod like things? this is why I still listen to my ipods (I have a few – mostly ipod touches)…..in the car, I can listen to my different playlists without stupid email or text notifications interrupting the songs. At home I have my ipod playing through my stereo receiver – continuous soft background music. Same in the bathroom with some portable speakers. At the gym, I still use my teeny, tiny ipod shuffle that’s clipped to my clothes with the corded earphones looped up through my shirt to my ears. it’s the same “work out” music I’ve been listening to for a few years now and I love it. Every once in a while, I’ll play my galaxy note phone music through my car (if I want to listen to amazon music) – but it’s rare. I can understand why apple is discontinuing the ipod, but I know I’ll be listening to all of mine for while.

I still use my fourth gen iPod Touch whenever I take walks outside or when doing something that would make having a large phone in my pocket inconvenient. I love it. Still rocking my 7th Gen Nano. I tried making the It’s a Philly thing Philadelphia Eagles shirt and by the same token and switch to my phone by transferring all my music to it but I dunno if my phone at the time was just messed up or what but it kept deleting my playlist and after the third time of remaking the playlist, including putting a new SD card in, I just gave up and went back to my Nano. At the time I didn’t have a data plan with unlimited data so I couldn’t make the switch to Spotify, nor did I want to pay for a membership to get rid of the ads. Found my iPod Switch yesterday! Really very stupid device, but it still works like a charm and is a little Pandora’s box of nostalgia! The orange tint to the buttons on the 3rd gen iPods, the black and red U2 edition…Apple products and their advertising was so cool.
