I believe that they do not give a shit and will continue to print money as long as idiots keep buying into their cult I used to be a 3rd party repair technician, an Apple ASP (authorized service provider) as well as all the It Was A Rough Week But I Didn’t Need Bail Money Quote Stars T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this other major PC manufacturers. I couldn’t believe how many customers would come directly from the Apple store claiming the Apple ‘Geniuses’ (store employees) told them their Macbook or Mac couldn’t be fixed, or it was too expensive to fix and to buy a new machine. Like 30% of the Apple repairs we had were because the Apple store they went to declined to help the person in a meaningful way. Also direct from Apple replacement parts have insane price tags, and when dealing with warranty repairs Apple is the most anal manufacturer you can deal with in terms of getting access to manuals, getting parts, returning core parts, etc. Meanwhile most of the PC (Windows based) manufacturers make the process for ASP’s painless, and have CHEAP repair parts, like to the point where I would joke that some brands had parts so cheap I could buy all the parts and build laptops cheaper than they sold them, which is the exact opposite of Apple, where direct from Apple parts cost more than an arm and a leg. It seems like most modern cars make it way harder for the average person to access underneath the hood of your car Not to mention farm machinery. Been decades. If it breaks you are forced to call certain people. They have a lockout you can’t fix yourself even if you can fix the problem yourself. And they charge through the roof. Because farming loses money by the hour if they are not running machinery. It’s a racket. I heard recently there is a movement to change that. I prefer warranty work or done by certified tech. Just like my car. My local laws require soldering/electronics certifications posted by front doors and such to be able to repair these devices so it helps weasel out crappy places. An iPhone is the Bentley of cell phones, if you would take your Bentley to Walmart for maintenance then I guess you’d take your iPhone to a non certified repair shop. If you don’t value it like that why’d you buy it
