This is an incredibly unpopular opinion and I fully recognize that I am in the IRon Maiden Denmark Flag Shirt in addition I really love this minority here, but I didn’t like this movie at all. There are far too many characters and they are all underdeveloped, but at the same time there aren’t enough suspects so the identity of the rat is annoyingly obvious. I thought what little action there was was middling at best. Simple Jack was not a compelling or intimidating villain. There is no real story here, just endless scenes of exposition. I’m sorry, but I don’t think watching someone else watch TV is engaging storytelling. Carmine Falcone controls all of Gotham. Do we actually get to see that? Nope, it’s just told to us in a very convenient info dump. There are so many bizarre character choices throughout. Michael Giacchino’s score is as uninspired as his Marvel work. The cinematography was great with some really striking visuals, but why were so many shots out of focus? It made sense when Riddler abducted Colson, but why do random snippets of press conferences have to have half the image out of focus? Was that just an issue with my theater? There are no new ideas here. All this movie does is retread ground covered in the Nolan trilogy but somehow finding a way to make it slower, less interesting and less emotional. It took three hours for this Bruce to learn a lesson that Nolan’s Bruce figured out in the first twenty minutes of Begins.

I am crushed by how disappointed I am. I really, really wish I loved this movie as much as everyone else, but I just don’t. Maybe I’ve finally outgrown superheroes or maybe the IRon Maiden Denmark Flag Shirt in addition I really love this past two weeks have just put me in the wrong headspace. I don’t know. Am I the only one that didn’t like it at all? 20% of the movie was just Pattinsons face and it was more like sin city than se7en in terms of style. By the end I was more glad it was over cuz they drew it out so long. Not to mention kravitz and Pattinson had 0 chemistry. Riddler and penguin (who didn’t have enough of a role… ) were great but the casting apart from them was almost comedically bad. It was more of a mystery movie than a superhero move but I couldn’t take it seriously cuz it still had the bad dialogue and hero/heroine cliches of a regular superhero movie. Maybe if you like the comic books I get it but other than a few bright spots it just felt like a try hard.
