We have a restro in Andhra and we didn’t opt into Swiggy and zomato. There are many restros in my area who have opposed them. But still I feel like we can have a much wider customer base if we list ourselves in their platform but as you mentioned they take up most of the Iowa State Cyclones 2023 55th Annual Autozone Liberty Bowl Shirt Apart from…,I will love this cost per order leaving us with nothing. I get your point but you are not supposed to bear this cost, you pass it on the consumer. I order from these platforms knowing that I am paying 30%+ extra if I went there and ordered it myself and sometimes it even costs less than when I order from it from the restaurant itself. Also, I believe you are delulu to think that running all the logistics yourself is going to cost only 3-8%. It is going to be upwards of 15-20% easily. Why don’t you make a web app and try to do all delivery and discoverability on your own? You will realize that you are better off using these platforms, the benefit you are going to get is only going to about 10% and that too in a very optimistic scenario but you will have the added headache of managing your fleet yourself. Logistics is a nightmare and I actually salute Zomato/Swiggy that they have pulled off such a service with so less friction.

If you think I’m pulling all these numbers from thin air then try using ONDC and you will realize that the Iowa State Cyclones 2023 55th Annual Autozone Liberty Bowl Shirt Apart from…,I will love this promised reduced commission means nothing when you have to do everything on your own and you still won’t be able to provide live tracking. Again, don’t go into losses, pass that cost on to the consumer and eat only 2-5% of the cost yourself because you will be getting a lot more orders because of these platforms. If your food is good, nobody is going to bother with saving 20-30 Rs especially in a city like Bangalore. The post just seems ignorant and uninformed. Lets consider following aspects without Zomato/Swiggy From restuarant side You cannot have your own app, as a customer, I would not install 100 apps for each restaurant From customer side
