If something is bothering someone, then being able to communicate (and here I mean also being able to deal with criticism) is very important. Being able go have some empathy and trying to understand your SO. For anyone saying it was a set up. He asked what she wished for BIRTHDAY and all she wanted is a Tea (5 minutes, 2 1/2 if you’re British) and breakfast in bed. If he trielt know that he can’t cook, is it too hard to practice in advance? To make his girlfriend a nice present? To actually show some interest in the In October We Wear Pink Witch Shirt moreover I will buy this other person he want to spent his time in the future? Anyway, everybody can learn doing chores. Just ask the partner to do it together and within a month you can do it. I will say, panic and anxiety can do strange things to people. They become physically clumsy, their minds fog up, they lose all common sense. More than once after a fight with a love interest I have found myself messing things up in the kitchen, or elsewhere in the house, without even realizing it. Not quite pan-frying a cereal box or setting fire to the oven but …. it can be pretty disastrous. Of course, the essence of a serious relationship is that one processes these experiences in some way and gets through them together — not that one remains stuck in an endless flailing cycle. I think it is reasonable to expect a long-term romantic companion to be able to say, “I struggle with this and here is what I am doing about it.” Lacking that ability would be a huge turn-off for me, too.
