Hustle “culture” always seemed to me like people just pretending to go ham on things like work, but only publicly on social media like Linkedin, so that their current managers, or future hiring managers, can see how hard they work, without actually doing it. I’m sorry but the In October We Wear Pink Breast Cancer Bleached Leopard T-Shirt But I will love this “grind” and “hustle” cultures only generate assholes. They think everyone else’s goal is to be rich as fuck, working 100 hours a week. I just want to be able to pay my bills and feed my family. Anything after that should be time spent with my family. “HERes waYs yoU cAn mAkE pROphT aT tHE Thrift stoRe” “Wow this thrift has something for prices you can find online, I wonder why they marked up prices” Continues to show what is good money at thrift store

I know a few people who were obsessive wheeler dealers. They were always on the In October We Wear Pink Breast Cancer Bleached Leopard T-Shirt But I will love this lookout for a deal or a bargain and would say things like “I never pay the asking price”. They obsessed over it so much it became a massive negative personality trait. They would even try and negotiate deals in chain supermarkets. In one extreme case someone decided they wanted to spend no more than €5,000 on a car that, in good condition and with the mileage they desired, would not sell for less than €10,000. After 2 years of trying rather than just acknowledge that their expectations eere unrealistic they instead decided to double down because it was everyone else who was being unreasonable not them. Just being around these people was tiring and stressful. And the worst thing was when they turned their hustle on to me. For example when I bought a brand new laptop for €1,000 and a week later one of them offered to buy it off me for €500. They even tried the whole “it’s not a very good laptop and I’m doing you a favour” thing. It’s a psychological trick that’s been found to work. The words you choose to use can have a huge impact on a guilty conscience. It’s used in police investigations a lot. Their brain is no longer thinking “can I get away with it” it starts thinking “What happens when I get caught”
