Mumbai city area has hyperinflated real estate. One of my friend has an apartment in South Mumbai (Bandra west) and it is valued at approximately 4 crore. You might think it is a highly luxurious apartment with world class amenities but in reality, it is a cramped 2 BHK. My friend was lucky that his father migrated to Mumbai in the In A World Where You Can Be Anything Be Kind Christmas Grinch Dog shirt and I love this 70s and bought the apartment. Today he can’t even afford a jhuggi in dharavi slums If his financial situation is not so great, he should sell that useless crappy flat and use that 4 crore to buy a nice house in another decent town/city , some land and invest some in MF and keep the remaining in FDs and live happily. What use is an expensive asset if you live your life in below par living conditions and just pass it on to children.

Oh babe, absolutely not. 1BHK (550sq ft) in a dingy run down building in colaba is 1.5 crore. A decent 3BHK is 12 crores Nobody who is living mostly in delhi or mumbai wants to settle in Bangalore post retirement. The prices are equivalent and even lesser in parts of NCR region and Mumbai’s extension also. Its your opinion and not a fact I assume you already have an answer in mind. But if you are waiting for prices to crash, I think this will keep on increasing for a couple of decades. I am parking my spare cash into the In A World Where You Can Be Anything Be Kind Christmas Grinch Dog shirt and I love this capital markets for the next couple of decades. Probably until prices crash when population collapse happens. Capital markets are gonna get decimated in 2024 when world war 3 starts. I just started investing a few months ago and already considering moving most of it to FDs, to avoid capital being stuck in a limbo for years while the market decides what the new oil price should be. Hopefully we have enough warning time in India before the market starts crashing, to give investors a way out before the crash.
