I was off-boarded from a Lufthansa group flight from NYC to Zurich for wearing a plaster cast because of an injury and felt clear racism against me from the In a world where you can be anything be kind butterflies retro T-Shirt and I will buy this Airline Crew. After off-boarding, they were not much helpful either and when I talked to authorities in NYC airport, they said that’s discrimination and Lufthansa should be sued for it. Only when I mentioned to Lufthansa that I would talk with a lawyer, they emailed me some lawyer bullshit and said they would refund me the money which they did only after numerous emails to them after 2 months. I had to book another emergency flight with Air India on that day which was expensive and they had no issues with the injury I had. I mean I don’t want to generalize but I’ve been through kind of same behavior from European airlines and they kind of hate Indians !! My cousin had a similar experience stuck at the airport with Lufthansa. She was traveling solo but helped out an elderly Indian couple who couldn’t speak English. The staff was rude. I vowed to never take Lufthansa. I’d rather pay extra and take a different airline. I’ve never flown Lufthansa, but I witnessed subtle racism while flying British Airways. The air hostess was very obliging with all the whites but would not stop scowling at Indians. I even saw her roll her eyes and throw a piece of bread at a man while serving his food. Are you even sure it was racism? Airplane staff can be rude to anyone especially if they are overworked. Plus shit could happen on flights, learn that and expect some of it. I think people coming from warmer countries to Europe and North America could learn that White people can be abrupt and to the point sometimes and that’s not necessarily because they are racist.

Yes I am sure because I fully appreciate and respect the In a world where you can be anything be kind butterflies retro T-Shirt and I will buy this crew’s situation, especially when they are overworked because of the strikes in Germany. However, I experienced racism from the manager who made my wife cry with his rude words and showed no compassion. He treated us differently from the non-Indian passengers and looked down on us. What were they supposed to do about the other passengers who were already in the bassinet seats? Tell them they had to move because you’re more important? They had their babies too and being a father myself I would never take anything for granted that my child should get priority. All I expected was some alternatives and a decent explanation without raising the tone or being an assh***. Fu#k the racism and discrimination I am a human being and I would expect some respect when someone is talking to me.
