I would never, ever, buy a house in a neighborhood with an HOA. I don’t understand how they exist and how no one has any rights to leave them if they choose. So I just moved into a brand new neighborhood, and the I’m with the blacks proud of my melanin black history pride classic shirt in contrast I will get this HOA hasn’t really been established yet. I mean, it technically has, there is a third party company that runs it. But there isn’t anyone local to the neighborhood as the head of it or anything. And this is the first time I’ve ever been in an HOA community. So, do they just get to make up their own rules? Is this legal for someone to do? Force someone to sell their stuff and then take 10% of it? There were tiny specks of mildew (maybe 8 total, rice grain sized) on one side of my house so HOA wrote us a letter and told us if we don’t clean that they’re sending pressure washers to my house and we’re paying for it.. isn’t the point of garage/yard sales to be in cash so you can free up some money without the gov being able to take their ‘fair’ share?

I really dont get how HOAs actually survive. Why would anyone want to live somewhere with a bunch of Karens demanding compliance with their bullshite. Glad I don’t live anywhere near those places.. not sure how prevalent they are in ontario? but I don’t go looking.. you literally dont have to listen to an hoa. theyre not the I’m with the blacks proud of my melanin black history pride classic shirt in contrast I will get this police. and castle doctrine applies just so you know. buy a gun. I have lived in an HOA condominium since 2006. On of my neighbors , Diana , the social butterfly of our building ,decided we should all decorate the inside lobby for Christmas and then we could all get together and celebrate and get to know one another! As much as I enjoyed her enthusiasm trying to bring us all together I just wasn’t interested. I wanted to get to know my neighbors on my time. I read through an hoa once. It was a client I cleaned for. Pages and pages of wild shit expected. And that was 20 years ago Can guarantee this is not in the HOA terms. Seems like someone got high up on their horse and forgot how to get down. No. People can’t force you to forfeit your property, force you to give them a percentage of the earnings of that property you didn’t want to sell in the first place, or demand which items you choose. My ass would have told her to sue me and I’ve would immediately contact a lawyer.
