I’m struggling with high waist and mom jeans….as a mom, I think it’s so unflattering! It only looks good if you’re skinny. I think high waist actually makes my belly look bigger than low rise. These trends are so unflattering. I WFH anyway so I’ll stick to my sweats. Well going through this, I found pictures of me in my old skinny jeans and I was like… damn, that looks pretty good. Wear what you like! I think having a personal style is more important than following trends. Thanks—I’m definitely not trendy and I think it’s funny looking through all your links bc I still own my old shoes etc and see they are back in style. 🙂 it just seems like ugly is in style right now. I think it was a slate article describing why ugly is in fashion and back to comfort and even orthotic looking shoes. I started working in a creative industry back in 2011. In my early 20’s I was inspired by Kate Spade from about 2011-2014. Florals and stripes, classic structured bags, skinny jeans and peplum tops. I started leaving my statement necklaces and patterned blouses in the closet.
