My brother had our dog piss in his school bag once and ruin homework and his exercise books and text books for a few classes. In second grade my dog actually ate my homework. She chewed up my homework folder too. I still turned it in and got full credit I’m gonna show my age here but I saved an assessment on the sole floppy disk I had at the time, and then my dog chewed the floppy disk. Didn’t have time to get another one so took it to school and showed my teacher who laughed and gave me an extension and a new floppy disk In undergrad, not my dog but my cat, chewed my homework all around the trim. I had to turn it in, so I snapped a pic and sent it to my professor explaining what happened. She laughed and mentioned she had never actually had a student say their pet ate their homework, and thanked me for crossing it off her bucket list of “teacher things.” One time my teacher’s dog ate my spelling test before she could grade it. She gave me an A Best score I had all year. I was in 7th or 8th grade and we had to make paper mache masks for a multi cultural history segment. I was so excited about this project because I enjoyed the class but I love art. I made it over a few weeks and was so proud of myself. My parents were pretty proud of my dedication to this project too, as I really hated school and rarely did any of the work. The morning I was to turn in my project, our puppy had gotten it and the essay to go along with it. My mom put everything into a paper bag and wrote a note.

Yup, when i was a kid and had to bring my homework in all taped up. Teacher didn’t believe me at first and my mom had to write a note. I didn’t do homework because it’s stupid and still believe that too this day. If your gonna give me work I’ll do it here. Home is for home, school/work is for school/work. I was on that ‘quiet quitting’ shit since the 3rd grade. So I passed my classes scoring high on tests and in school work.
