The guy I was sitting next to on a flight from Shannon to New York who was either snoring, taking his shoes off and picking at his toes or just being rude to everyone around…. I sat next to a guy with a horrible dandruff problem. He scratched his head the I’m Not Sugar And Spice Sage and Hood Wish A Mufuka native shirt and by the same token and whole flight, white flakes flying and then he’d keep looking at his fingernails. 4 hours of hell. I would have to say that it’s would be some person who has no idea about boundaries and also would have been very nervous being thier reason on the flight ie: funeral, sick family or other reasons On a 3h flight, so fortunately not too long. My colleague and I were sat next an older woman who clearly had psychiatric problems. She would tap us on the shoulder every 2 mins to chat to us, even though we had headphones on. She shook my colleague several times, who was very nice to her (unlike me), when he fell asleep so she could continue talking to him. The worst part is the chatting was not at all pleasant, it was exclusively her asking incredibly intrusive and personal questions and progressively evolved into insulting me to my colleague because I made it clear I wasn’t interested in talking anymore. He was extremely patient the whole time and engaged calmly. This seems mild compared to some of your stories but I’ve been on a row twice in my life now with people who had dip in their mouth and an empty plastic water bottle as a makeshift spittoon and y’all I’m from the country but I was not prepared. The guy who I thought was making polite small talk but then decided to “share his testimony” with me and basically condemn me to hell when I said I wasn’t interested. Make for a very awkward remainder of the flight.

I sat next to a 6 foot 5, 300 pound German guy with terrible BO and a sweating problem on my way home from Berlin to Newark, NJ. It took about 2 hours before I got adjusted to the I’m Not Sugar And Spice Sage and Hood Wish A Mufuka native shirt and by the same token and smell. Gentle parenting parents who can’t control their children and allow them to do whatever they want. I don’t mean a crying baby or a kid that speaks a lot, I mean the ones who throw a tantrum and are not disciplined. Older woman with the most fowl breath you can imagine. She yawned and coughed so much I felt like I could taste it. A smelly unpleasant person. If you smell bad but you don’t mean to and you’re a cool person, I can live with it. But if you smell AND you’re a jerk? I can’t imagine. Luckily it’s never happened to me … knock on e-wood.
