Now, what about addressing how some counties in Texas are trying to make it illegal for women to use public roads in order to travel to some place in order to get an abortion? You can’t ‘murder’ across state lines, so even by their own logic, it doesn’t work as an interstate crime. Good point about trafficking specifically being about a crime of moving. And as to the murder analogy, I can imagine that you could be hit with a conspiracy charge for transporting someone across the state lines so they could kill somebody, but that would be different because here it’s the literal act of crossing the state line that they’re trying to criminalize.
