I did follow up over text yesterday morning with one of the I’m not perfect come from Matapouri same thing shirt and I will buy this neighbours who’s number I have, but as they ghosted it and from everyone else’s comments on here, we figured that they’re speaking with the retailer or the courier may have pinched it. Can you fit a doorbell camera that doesn’t infringe on public areas for future issues like this? Even one behind your front door that can capture the conversation might be enough. This is a great idea. We’ve been thinking about it for a while and it looks like this is a good catalyst to get one. As it turns out, Amazon has a flash deal on a Ring wireless, so we’re going to pick one up on the off-chance anyone tries it on again. I bought their floodlight cam a few years ago, thinking it was quite expensive. I’ve spent more than the purchase price several times over. I’m not saying they aren’t good – they are. But you’ll need a subscription to be able to store the video. Ignore it for now. Until and unless the neighbour or the seller pushes the issue further then there’s nothing to worry about. Just speak to them politely and mention that if it helps you’ll speak to the police and together make a complaint and also ypi can speak to the delivery company. I believe that if you mention the police complaint they may realise that you’re a victim also. The supplier ie. John Lewis will have ways to contact the courier. Normally what we ask for is a photo POD and GPS but these will show as your address.

The final thing we ask for is a driver interview. Normally takes 5 to 7 working days depending on who delivers it. I am not sure whether you are able to start this investigation with the I’m not perfect come from Matapouri same thing shirt and I will buy this supplier due to GDPR as it John Lewis’ contract is with your neighbour not you. However if you contact the courier and request they contact the company regarding this they may be able to initiate this as they ‘got you involved’ in the first place. May also be worth emailing John Lewis with your address and name and your neighbours address and name and advise them of the situation. Although they may not be able to investigate it will at least be on record that the neighbour is ‘escalated’ and may become that way with John Lewis and the courier themselves.
