What are some of the I’m Mostly Peace Love And Horses And A Little Go Buck Yourself Shirt it is in the first place but Lunar New Year traditions that you always stick to and why? Because I grew up in the U.S. with a small family, just my Korean mom and white dad, we never really had a big Lunar New Year celebration. My mother used to come to my elementary school and teach all the kids how to bow and give them quarters, which at the time afforded me a much-desired modicum of minor popularity. At home, we’d just enjoy small special tokens of the day, like a little styrofoam tray of yakshik or song pyeon my mom would buy at the Asian market. Now, I just perform those same small acts to commemorate her.

What’s your favorite Lunar New Year dish? I love jeon, little Korean pancakes made with seafood, kimchi, green onion, or vegetables and meats that have been dredged in flour and egg and fried in oil. My favorites are oyster jeon and wanjajeon, pan-fried meatballs made with tofu, ground beef, and pork.
