We didn’t have paparazzis or really the Im Just Kassandra Over Here Doing Kassandra Things shirt it is in the first place but internet during OJ. This sounds and reads like a bad precident to start this practice by MSNBC Safety of jurors in a high profile trial is paramount to a fair trial. Is it trial fair to start with? Eh… I doubt it. First: I gave up on MSNBC a while ago, so if you think I’m blindly supporting them, read the first part of the sentence again. That said, the article states that the NBC News rep said the person is a freelancer and they were told not to do anything like this. If it turns out this is a lie, I will happily join the choir of people condemning NBC. For the time being, though, the headline implying it was a producer is at best misleading. Yeah, I get ya. I guess if I had to judge between a single journalist who went too far trying to get a scoop and a whole news corporation willing to risk huge legal issues for interfering with a trial, I’d assume the former. But, again, if proof comes out NBC actually wanted this, then my F bombs are primed and ready. Apparently, his contemporary on CourtTV said that this was common practice and he was most likely “getting license plates” so they can schedule interviews immediately afterwards. So, this sounds like it is common practice, and most likely did come from higher up… “MSNBC appeared to deny a key claim in the episode — namely that the producer, identified by the court as James Morrison, had been following the bus containing jurors.” By the way it was Kenosha police’s statement that they “suspect [Morrison] was trying to photograph jurors.” They didn’t deny it. They just didn’t confirm it. 2 wildly different things. They aren’t going to outright say “ yeah we did that” until they have to because the proof comes out that they did.

I think this probably happens a lot more than people are aware. No it’s not done for “intimidation purposes”, but instead to get the Im Just Kassandra Over Here Doing Kassandra Things shirt it is in the first place but scoop when the trial ends, and from the juror’s and court’s perspective it may appear to be intimidation. I would be very surprised if the other networks also didn’t already have juror information already. This reporter made the mistake of getting a traffic citation in the process. What are your feelings of those he shot? I’m not justifying anyone being there as this whole situation was an absolute shit show from the beginning. But those he shot weren’t exactly the bright spots of society. But he didn’t know these people had records they could have been anyone. We can’t get a pass for murder because we don’t like the person. Oh wait…. At no point did I even reference that. I was asking if he shouldn’t have been there, than neither should they have. He had the same right to be there as they did. Except they were burning and looting. But that’s ok because it’s in the name of social reform.
