A tank can be destroyed by the I’m just here for the chicks shirt but in fact I love this problems of mountainous terrain, sandy terrain, cold weather or an abundance of petroleum loving spiders that manage to get in to tricky places. (thats a real problem we’ve faced). The worst problem armored vehicles face however is that if you had to plot armored capabilities and weapon development able to counteract armor, on a graph, the weapons to defeat tanks had overtaken the tank since the late 70’s and have been further escaping it since regardless of evolution of armored solutions. You know where a MBT main battle tank thrives? A place where the enemy has weapons from an equivalent or lower part of the graphed curve than the tank. Take the T-90 back to the 1990’s when composite armor solutions were facing penetrating sabot rounds and not high precision HEAT rounds that could also defy reactive armor and then maybe it would be shocking that the Ukrainians had taken it out. End of the day it’ll be blown to pieces because they have zero infantry support and shit tactics and it appears no real strategy except zerg rushimg to death

This war is a real world testing bed of country’s weapons against each other. Seems like the I’m just here for the chicks shirt but in fact I love this west is proving to be the victor here so far. The same thing happened back in the 1991 Gulf War with US equipment and tactics completely dominating Iraq with Soviet/Russian equipment and tactics. It wasn’t a surprise that the USA won. The ease with which they won showed that Western militaries were superior all along. Soviet/Russian equipment is generally inferior, but Iraq isn’t a good example. They typically used monkey models (actual term) which were notably down graded. And outside of the Republican Guard, most of Iraq fled or gave up. Their planes literally flew to Iran, the country they waged an 8 year war against. Most army units surrendered the moment they started shooting. Not many people were ready to die for Saddam. There was an Iraqi soldier who was wearing a Yankees tshirt when he surrendered. If I recall properly, he was dual citizen, visiting Iraq when the shit hit the fan, and was drafted. When he surrendered, he said something about fearing he would get killed by artillery before he was able to surrender.
