The fact that I seem to see the I’m Enneagram Type Coffee T-Shirt and I love this world trend toward shit. I know that me having a kid wouldn’t make it more shitty, but damn it just seems unfortunate to live here. Especially as the timescale is like 10 generations. Imagine the bullshit they’ll have to solve from us. I have a genetic disorder and a severe predisposition to anxiety (both run in my mother’s side of the family). I don’t think I could bear to risk having a child that has to endure the same things I am. I lose my temper sometimes. I know yelling isn’t the worst thing to do to a child, but I don’t wanna have a kid and end up being a parent that rules with yelling and sharp words. I want to instead be a gentle parent with gentle parenting. If I do it I wanna do it the way I feel is best and I don’t have the capacity to do that. Don’t think I ever will, honestly. I’ll consider it if my patience changes, but I doubt it will. Kids are not, and hopefully will never be until I decide otherwise, in my future.

They’ll end up going through the I’m Enneagram Type Coffee T-Shirt and I love this same hardships and suffering you go through at some point, so I wouldn’t want to be responsible for something like that I don’t think my mental state is at the point where I can offer a good life for children and honestly I don’t know if it ever will be. Genetics. I have muscular dystrophy and my wife has her own medical issues. Also the state of the world and women’s rights being stripped away from them. Not opposed to adoption but we are too poor and live in the Bible belt so I doubt they’d consider us fit for parenting even though we could properly raise a kid. Grew up parenting my siblings, so I feel you on that. I already changed diapers, watched them take their first steps, taught them how to ride bikes and fight bullies. Even financially supported the one through to graduation bc my mom wouldn’t and I didn’t want to see her graduate late like me bc of having to work to support herself. Now I’m teaching her how to drive and protecting her from boys the way a father would. I’m both their mom and dad. Always have been. I’m done raising people. Turning 4 sisters into women was hard enough the first time.
