This is a weird thing that I, personally, don’t think is common. Media hype has done most of this. With the Internet and society this day in age. Everyone is just trying to have something special and or unique about themselves and identity. With gender being such a “hot issue” then being proud of what ever gender you are makes a “political”, “social”, “moral”, or even “trendy” statement. I don’t get it either but I also dont begrudge those who are. In my opinion, one should be proud of their achievements. Im straight, white, and an American of Irish descent. None of those things are achievements. I earned none of them. I got lucky, that’s it. I’m born a dude. Yeah I didn’t work for that but there’s certain gifts I was given that I improved upon. Had I been born a girl there wouldn’t be as much I could accomplish in the hobby I took up. Seeing what I forged from the cards life dealt me gives me lots of pride. Especially when I’m on the smaller end of the spectrum but still competing with beasts. It’s simple but important to me very deep in my core

God blessed me with a baby maker and I have used it 3 times to bring humans into this world. I am SUPER proud of being a heterosexual WOMAN. I love having a woman’s body and have always been proud of my feminity. Bcos it’s made me who I am today . If I wasn’t born gay and trans I’d likely be as bigoted as my dad and brother are I dont give a damn. If You force me to make You feel proud, You have self esteem issues. If You are [insert anything] and You build your identity on this, this is compensation of Your inferior feeling, not pride. Well said. I’ve noticed this trend within many inferior collectivist groups. Not just gender and sexuality groups like feminism and lbgt groups. Pride is used to overcome former quilt but it still displays inferiority. People who are confident don’t make a single aspect about themselves their whole identity or personality.
