It made him see the imminent danger and he booked it only at that point. If the fence was not there or was somehow much stronger not plastic he might not have lived to tell this story. It was very dumb for him to film that long not conscious of the danger he was putting himself in. As a Californian, I have a serious question. Is the danger from getting picked up and thrown somewhere? Or from being hit by debris? This video doesn’t feel inherently deadly to me, but the comments assure otherwise.

You wouldn’t think it but wood is super dangerous with a tornado. Even straws of hay can be turned into a nightmarish bullet. This guy in the video is one massive idiot. My buddy who lives there couldn’t figure out why his dog didn’t want to go outside. When he opened his front door he saw something like this coming right at him. He closed the door.
