This is so ridiculous. Isn’t eligibility based on income? It’s not how you spend your income, it’s how much you actually get. In which case, no money management course will make you ineligible if they don’t increase your wage. … why wouldn’t you? Does anyone ever get scolded for taking too many legal tax breaks? They can fuck off with that classist bullshit. Good on you. Your higher ups can do that? Jesus. I figured military was military and your personal life as separate outside of living where they tell you to I was in the I’m A December Girl I’m Stronger Than You Believe Braver Than You Know Shirt in other words I will buy this service too. Officers can be real tools sometimes. You’d think it would be obvious that if you’re eligible for food stamps it’s only because they weren’t paying you enough. It’s that damn simple. It’s a goddamn travesty that we can’t adequately compensate the families of the men and women we send off to die for our country. It’s shameful.

People in the I’m A December Girl I’m Stronger Than You Believe Braver Than You Know Shirt in other words I will buy this most well funded institution planet earth has ever known telling you to manage your money better because you want to have easier access to food… My favorite was being told to get a second job, while still in college full time in a dumb law state where few places hiring offer full time (because they’d have to pay benefits). Priority hiring goes to people without other jobs or in school, very few offer a steady schedule or schedule around other jobs, classes or the dreaded extra circular/hobby. I ended up going to class mornings, working retail afternoon to evening, then bartending after the retail job into the early morning and a quick shower before class again only to just barely make rent & bills- it’s not sustainable.
