Or I’ll say, “to transfer your number, we need a special 6-digit PIN that is generated by your old carrier for the I’m a caregiver because what my soul says to be sunflower shirt moreover I will buy this specific purpose of transferring to a new carrier called a ‘Number Transfer Pin’. I can help you generate one as I have the instructions here in front of me” “I’m sorry but that looks like your account PIN. The PIN we need will be randomly generated and is only six digits” Oh my God. Oh my GOD. You cannot be this fucking stupid. Like it can’t just be me right? I gave every indicator that it’s NOTTTTTTT the account PIN and it’s one that we need to generate HERE, NOW for the purpose of what we’re doing. I was so clear and precise in my words. Why the fuck won’t you just listen to what I’m saying? They hear the word “PIN” and their brain stops receiving information. It’d be fine if it was just one or two customers. Maybe they’re multitasking. Maybe they’re in the phone store with a store rep breathing down their neck and they’re distracted. Fine, it happens. Don’t mind repeating if you were confused.

But holy fuck it’s like 80% of my customers. Old, young, middle aged, PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR THE SAME COMPANY AS ME, like please for the I’m a caregiver because what my soul says to be sunflower shirt moreover I will buy this love of God just hear the WORDS I say and extrapolate the meaning from them because I promise it’s there!!!! This is not an autism problem, people are just profoundly stupid and cannot communicate clearly using precise language. For me, working with engineers or in any technical field requires the understanding of the importance of precise language, so everyone tries to cooperate. Working for a phone company means you’re dealing with average people who likely aren’t capable of or care about using precise language. This is me with my gf but she’s told me she genuinely wants me to just keep asking her until she talks and it is exhausting that does sound exhausting. and thats the thing, i brought something up, but then realized i regretted mentioning it, and genuinely wanted to just continue as if i hadnt said anything, but then they forced it out of me. i think they just assumed i was doing what your GF did, cause people do that alot, but at a certain point it feels like they think they know me so well that they can just KNOW that i actually want to talk, even though in genuinly do not want to AT ALL
