Do whatever makes you happy. One of my professors (she was already in her 60’s) said the I’m A Arizona Wildcats On Saturdays And A Arizona Cardinals On Sundays 2023 shirt Apart from…,I will love this way she and her husband saw it was either they have kids or travel the world, they chose to travel the world and honestly she’s one of the happiest looking people I’ve ever met lol and this was like 5 years ago. I’ll say this, I have one kid and after everything that happened in 2020 and since, I will not bring another into this world. I’m also getting past prime parenting age, 35m, kid is 9. Also I’m struggling as it is, can’t imagine another person to take care of unless I was 10000% certain on the other parent. I’m with you, partner and I aren’t having kids. The idea is nice, but the reality is stark. I can take care of me, or burn myself up creating a probably not top tier human. If I’m going to sacrifice my own selfish desires I’d want the kid to have the best chance possible, and I just can’t provide that right now. Maybe we’ll adopt one day, who knows.

Move forward with what you truly want. If that changes in 10 years, there are plenty of options for you to become a parent. 740 more repliesDon’t bring a kid into this world that you don’t want. I’m 46 and I don’t regret not having kids. If you had told us you wanted kids but hesitated for XYZ reasons, my answer would be different. But you clearly state you don’t want them. Come join us! And by “us” I don’t mean the I’m A Arizona Wildcats On Saturdays And A Arizona Cardinals On Sundays 2023 shirt Apart from…,I will love this childfree sub because they’re a bit extreme. Just a general “us.” So join us and enjoy your sleep, time, and money. I’m 37F and I know I do. You do you, and if you want kids later in life, but don’t want to, or can’t have them biologically, fostering and adoption is a thing, and can be a tremendous blessing to the child There are a couple of snide remarks about changing diapers and getting a good night’s sleep I could have made, but that wouldn’t help anything. Look, having children means taking on the most awesome responsibility you will ever confront in your life. If you decide that’s not something you’re ready for or that it’s not something you want to do, than choosing not to do it is actually a sign of maturity. So I lived most of my life not wanting children and now (very intentionally have a one year old toddler). Just to give background, not to tell you that you’ll change your mind. Just to say I went trough the same mental work. Personally I ended up in a different place, but that’s not my point.
