Tigers are not that different from jaguars though. Especially, tropical subspecies, which are smaller in size. If ecosystem could survive jaguars and cougars, it likely to survive tigers, too. I think, tigers would put more pressure on bigger prey species, but at the If You Think It’s Expensive Hire A Good Carpenter shirt besides I will buy this same they will reduce number of jaguars, thus reducing pressure on smaller species. I saw some short-form content on one of those platforms that spreads that shit around the other day about how 14 wolves introduced into the ecosystem at Yellowstone changed everything – in a really dramatic way. If that’s true I’d think 100 tigers would have more than just a little impact. Humans as a species needs to reintroduce top predators and large roamers (elephants, bison, water buffalo and other large grazers, depopulating large areas on the continents, areas that are wasted today anyway, and let animals thrive again. That, together with a global ban on weapons would be a good way to even the odds. Mankind simply wouldn’t live in areas rich in large predators or herbivores. One of the features that makes tigers so successful in their current range is that their prey registers the color orange as a much duller tan color. Thus they blend in very well with their environment. So I think that the success of their camouflage could be somewhat determined by whether prey animals in the Amazon also see orange as a dull color. But once they get a grip on basically any mammal prey (with the exception of the giant anteater, which jaguars won’t even mess with) it’s game over for that prey animal.

It’s red-green color blindness, ie shades of red (which is close enough ro orange) and green are seen as the If You Think It’s Expensive Hire A Good Carpenter shirt besides I will buy this same color. They’re going to face pretty fierce competition. That niche is already occupied. The likely answer is no, but there’s always a “maybe” in biology, Yeah, chances are either they struggle to find food, don’t know how to avoid some danger, catch some disease from a local species, or can’t adapt to the weather. However, who knows, look at the hippos in Colombia. I doubt it, Bengal Tigers are big creatures which require a lot of food. There are not that many large animals living in the rainforests and those that do would be difficult to find in the dense jungle environment. Nature can often surprise us though so you never know for certain.
