And here’s me thinking gaming was the I wouldn’t change my grandkids for the world shirt so you should to go to store and get this easiest niche. Don’t you just post minecraft shorts and get an instant 10k views? Gaming must be the largest audience on Youtube. Can’t speak for Minecraft.. but the gaming niche is incredibly competitive because viewers tend to follow the “trend” so the bigger YouTubers are the way to go usually.. however there’s still alot of opportunity for growth! Being the biggest also mean one of the most toxic audiences as well. If they don’t like you guess what you’ll hear about it! If your personality is boring guess what they will tell you no problem without holding back! Those usually take out some gaming YouTubers from continuing. Even if you hit all the points right Thumbnail, title, video.. your content is up against the ” BIG DOGS” so YouTube will prioritize their content. However if you push through that in time you’ll get your viewers for sure. I don’t really watch gaming content, but some of those legacy guys kinda seem boring and not very great people. Do audiences still stick to them out of familiarity?

I can’t speak for all of them, but Markiplier and his friend group like muyskerm (Bob), LordMinion777 (Wade), jacksepticeye (Sean) and CrankGameplays -recently rebranded as Ethan Nestor – all seem to be pretty good people. It certainly is a journey, but it’s nice watching some videos gain some traction so I take it as small victories. I’m hoping to make it big but I’ll get there when I get there! It’s also important to remember that gaming channels can also blow up and just because someone else thinks it’s difficult or different to grow a gaming channel compared to other content types, based on their anecdotal experience, doesn’t make it true. Where did u see where I said gaming channels can’t blow up?? Of course they can!!
