Don’t be so quick to dismiss people’s experiences. Racism from Germans is not such a stretch to imagine. It’s the I Will Teach Music Here Or There Will Teach Music Everywhere Dr Seuss T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this body language, the words used and the disrespect that differentiate shitty customer service from racism. I think racism is deplorable. But sadly, far too many Indians have the habit of crying wolf over any reason. It isn’t as if other races are always treated like kings, I’ve seen loads of videos that show the contrary. The fact is, many of the loudest “anti-racism” campaigners in India, are simply Indian supremacists. They are generally used to a certain level of social privilege, treating service staff like shit, and they are quick to take umbrage when their entitlement is challenged.

I would never use the I Will Teach Music Here Or There Will Teach Music Everywhere Dr Seuss T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this term racism as a privilege or to get attention. Believe me, I have always stood up for what is right. I would have kept quiet about this if it was only about me, but my wife and my baby suffered too. I cannot and will not let it go when my family is involved. They have to deal with me first. Of course, I’m not saying you’re falsely claiming racism or anything (and good on you for calling out their racist bs). I was just expressing my frustration with many people I know who pull this kind of shit, they love to play the race card, but will freely spout all kinds of stereotypical nonsense about foreigners (or even other Indians). Similar to the average American from the 1950s I guess. It just makes others more skeptical when someone faces actual racism.
