Are we all just going to pretend that freebasing ranch dressing straight from the I See Your True Colors That’s Why I Love You Autism Awareness T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this bottle in a Walmart parking lot on the way to our giant SUV wearing cargo shorts and crocks, isn’t the pinnacle of white North American culture?!?! Additionally, “white people” is a very broad label. It doesn’t differentiate between, say, German, Irish, Italian, or British folks. Usually those people are talking about white Americans, not Europeans tho; similar to when a white Americans says „y do black peoples…“ they‘re not talking about Ghanaians or Cameroonians Okay. There are many cultural zones within the US – and even within each state. Take Maine, for example: The coast is defined by the fishing and lobster industries, along with the stereotypical accent. Go a few hours north, and you’ll find potato fields and the pocket of Acandian French people who stopped in Maine as opposed to continuing down to Louisiana.

“White” is not really a culture it’s a stereotype. I’ve never seen a culturally Irish person talk with a culturally Italian person and discuss how they were so culturally similar cause of their matching skin tone. Nobody I know walks around talking about their “whiteness” unless they’re joking in relation to how “black culture” observes light skinned people. Like how is a dark skinned dude in Paris that has never been to the I See Your True Colors That’s Why I Love You Autism Awareness T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this US have anything to do with “black culture” over here? He doesn’t— yet he comes over here he’s automatically perceived by society as part of black culture due to historical racism. Whereas if a light skinned dude from Paris comes over he’s conversely light skin stereotyped. They could have the same exact actual culture but nobody seems to give a shit because we’re being taught to judge people differently based on their skin tone.
