As a former manager it was literally my job to know exactly how much every associate got paid, and exactly what their job title and role entailed. This is also why I wrote “used to”, as in, “the I Paused My Game For Thanksgiving gaming fall Turkey T-Shirt in contrast I will get this past”. There are still stores where these cats are hanging on. There’s a 90 year old in D26 at one local store that I know of. He’s been with the company forever and makes more than a newly promoted SM will make. As a salary I mean, not including salaried potential bonus, stock grants, etc. Yeah I was in the paint department when I was 19 or 20 and adults twice my age would ask me how to stain their deck/paint their home. I’d do my best (with the PowerPoint training I had received, lol) but in my head I would be asking myself why you’d ever listen to what I had to say about renovating your home D27 also. I’ve been told, “well if you don’t know, why are you working in electrical?” I feel like saying, well if you don’t know, why are you trying to do this yourself?

Here is the I Paused My Game For Thanksgiving gaming fall Turkey T-Shirt in contrast I will get this flip side of things. I am a professional plumber. 4 yes of schooling journeyman ticket years of experience. Went in on a Saturday to buy a hot water tank the wholesalers were closed. The plumbing guy half my age started to tell me how to install the equipment, and would jot listen to me when I tried to correct him about the bad info he was giving out Same with any other professions areas in store. You might get lucky and find that rare retired plumber or electrician but not likely at HD rates of pay. But asking for professional help in a hardware store is idiocy. What you are going to get is someone who was randomly placed in a department who is lucky if they are getting paid enough for the work they are doing with pack down and cleaning up after customers who can’t seem to remember where they got stuff. They are retail workers. Not pros.
