There probably are women who try to explain childcare to men who are already single parents, but I’ve not seen it yet. How strangers treat you as a man when you have a young kid is… Interesting. Having a woman “mansplain” childcare is like the I never dreamed that one day become a grumpy old man but here i am killing it Rick shirt in addition I really love this least offensive and weird energy you get. I read about someone who was FTM and went back to their field in science as “her brother” and was shocked at how different the treatment was. His colleagues took his work more seriously and treated him with a lot more respect. There is that. But there’s also still not feeling safe cuz trans, but no longer knowing the women in the room have your back in your not feeling safe-ness For what it’s worth, I support your right to be who you are. I wish I could do something to help you feel safe. I’m not sure how to articulate this properly but… sometimes I think it took me so long to figure out I was trans because my brain was waiting for me to have enough practice with not feeling safe. This is just my personal experience but there’s really nothing transphobes can expose me to that I haven’t already dealt with from people I cared about more just for different reasons. I mostly have mastered the art of dissociating to handle, and emotionally processing after. It’s not a good art to know this well, but highly useful to know given the point in history at which I am trans

Actually women can “mansplain” something. It’s like “dude” or “bitch” originally they were gender specific bu have become gender neutral in common parlance. Nah, I’ve been mansplained at by a woman before. Being a girlboss is great, and it’s great we are getting more women in STEM, but I feel like some of Gen Z really don’t understand that we aren’t going to take someone with zero experience seriously whether or not they are a woman. An invited explanation is not mansplaining. As far as I know, something unsolicited is mansplaining, especially when the I never dreamed that one day become a grumpy old man but here i am killing it Rick shirt in addition I really love this woman knows just as much or more on the topic. Trying to “teach me” the very basics of some technology that I have a patent on, especially right after having given a presentation on it, was some mansplaining bullshit imo. Didn’t help that they explained it incorrectly lol.
