When I was getting a second opinion consult for cancer treatment, the I miss Brent charlie skull grateful dead tye die T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this doctor told me I was so lucky, I got the good kind of cancer. 🖕🏻 went in to emergency for auto accident. they did cat scan of my head and neck because i lost consciousness. doc came in and said “good news is you didnt hurt your head or neck in the accident. bad news is you have a brain tumor.” swear to fucking god. im still pissed about how he handled it… Army doctor told me in Iraq the only reason my ribs were broken was because I smoke, obviously a vehicle rollover and being shot in the chest had nothing to do with it. I have had many issues with my ladybits over the span of decades. About 5 years ago, one of these ended up in the ER. (A rupturing ovarian cyst with hydrosalpinx). The ER doc says, OMG why do you even still have all this stuff, it’s a hot mess!

Based on that, I decided yeah it was maybe time to think about surgical intervention. I finally get my consult. And I did the dumbest thing: I got my hopes up. Doc asks how much this whole thing is bothering me and I tell him that my lowest pain days are about a 3/10, and I cannot remember a pain free day from my uterus/ovaries, etc. I also mentioned catastrophic bleeding (bleeding through a tampon AND a pad in under an hour). At this point, I realized that I had been a fool to hope. He literally thought I was so stupid I never would have thought of taking a motrin. MOTRIN. Not even Toradol. MOTRIN. No, I’m crying because I stupidly believed you were actually going to help relieve me of decades of pain, discomfort and quality of life misery. And I was wrong. And that sucks.
