This is complete BS and you didn’t provide a source. Most children don’t even know what a blogger is, let alone want it as a top 3 profession. This info was clearly made up sometime in the I Love Lincoln New Hampshire T-shirt but in fact I love this 2010s. holy shit I didn’t even flinch at the blogger part, but you’re right, what kind of kid less than 9 knows about blogs to the point of wanting to be a blogger ? yeah i remember being in 1st grade and wanting to be a baseball player or a cop. i liked baseball but i have absolutely no idea what would have convinced me being a police officer was a job i would like other than (from my perspective at the time) “cop good”. i would never want to have either of the jobs ever now (or for the past like 8 years at least either lol) The problem is these are all terrible careers. The national average of volunteer fire departments is 70%, in some states it’s 90% or more. EMT’s don’t get paid worth ass – that’s another topic as 75% of ambulances are privatized and for-profit, which is largely why costs are so high and pay is so terrible. And you don’t even have to get started on why nobody wants to be cops anymore, this politically charged hyper-focus on defending every terrible cop or justifying every horrific or corrupt action by one has made nationwide perception of police (at least in America) into a general embarrassment.

This isn’t to trash emergency service workers. The people are incredible, and I work with them all the I Love Lincoln New Hampshire T-shirt but in fact I love this time. The real problem is they’re overworked, underpaid, and terribly represented by people with this kind of “holier-than-thou” fervor that ultimately backfires and makes them look bad every time they defend some kind of corrupt cop or some other nonsense. Can’t put the blame on them though, lots of kids and teens nowadays grew up with parents taking a ton of photos of them and putting them all over their social medias; of course they’re going to come to the conclusion that the attention seeking behaviour of an influencer is not only normal but admirable, something to be replicated. They learnt it from their parents first. It’s also made worse by parents who are allowing their children to have unrestricted access to social media and the internet when they’re still in primary school, that’s really messed up imo. Of course they’re going to want to replicate what they see; that’s the primary thought process of a child.
