To answer your question; the I love gardening from my head tomatoes T-Shirt and I love this law is decided by the lawmakers. Those elected by the American people. Not the government (although those a part of the government are involved as well). Then it’s enforced by the Police and the judiciary, where a jury of your peers ultimately decides. If you break the law, and believe you are not guilty, then it’s put to them. It blows my mind how many people claim that those that run the government are tyrants then turn around and want to disarm the populace. This would be a great argument if the people talking about needing guns to stand up to the government weren’t a bunch of do nothing bitches who’ve done fuck all while you have dog shit healthcare, people are living off of tips, you have a homelessness crisis, your cops are out of control etc. Remember when a bunch of liberals/leftists burnt down police stations and protested in the streets because cops killed a man and all the r/weekendgunnit types just circle jerked about roof Koreans and killing looters rather than doing anything? US gun owners are all talk when it comes to tyranny, in reality they’re cowards. You’re kind of proving my point. Why do you want everyone to be disarmed except for the government then? Shouldn’t you want to protect yourself from this tyranny?

Because the I love gardening from my head tomatoes T-Shirt and I love this guns aren’t being used to stand up to the government they’re being used to shoot children in the face We do, what we don’t support are the solutions proposed by the Democrats that purport to achieve this because they inevitably have a poison pill in them – this is no accident. The pro-gun side has been arguing for a tax credit for gun safes for over a fucking decade, that alone – even without the requirement to use said safe – would result in a substantial reduction in gun violence, suicides, and accidental shootings. The lefties don’t like it though because: 1) it wasn’t their idea; 2) the pro-gun side, the NRA, is for it and so therefore they absolutely cannot be seen to be for it as well; 3) it doesn’t give them control since there’s no legal punishment if you don’t use the safe; 4) it doesn’t hurt and piss off gun owners, which is a downside to a lot (not all but a lot) on the pro-gun-control side. It might work to try and implement licensing available to anyone that wants, so anyone actually buying guns has to prove proficiency and that they are responsible enough. Follow up on individuals that may be a danger like they don’t do now. More comprehensive background checks.
