Over 1k subs in the I love Gardening from my head tomatoes Gardening Shirt Also,I will get this top 8.8%? Really? Seems to me we have so many that are over 1k subs that it shouldn’t even be the top 20% realistically. Kinda like there are so many channels out there that have 1Million subs that even those should maybe be the top 25%, and the numbers from there are the really huge channels. I looked it up and a graph from 2021 showed they was 38 million channels with less that 100 subs. It used data from social Blade so that doesn’t even include channels with less than 5. thats an impossibility large number, there are only like 7-9 billion people on the planet. every single person would have to have several youtube accounts Most people have several youtube accounts. I factored higher for multiple accounts, people who have died and still have accounts, and spam bots. Never underestimate the bots. Lol I’m seeing the huge numbers of people that are slightly over the 1k mark and still failing to get any traction. The numbers are so huge that it has to be like the 50% mark. No bias, just that any channel that is even remotely consistent can hit the 1k mark. it’s literally a proven bias, it’s not your bias but i guess the youtube societies. you aren’t being shown every single youtuber, esp not the ones under 1k, you’re only being shown the biggest, so of course we all assume there a more of them, but the data shows (and even if it didn’t you could assume) more people are failing than succeeding, but because we only hear the stories of the ones who win, we only hear the survivors bias. 1k never meant successful but it is around that 9% mark. I oddly enough believe 8.8% for channels over 1k subs – it’s fairly consistent with the rate of failure I’ve seen helping new creators (there’s a massive number that just want to be like [insert famous youtuber] here, and just want to be told, “just be yourself and you’ll get views” – when in reality, it’s work, and a lot of people don’t like doing that kind of work)

It’s right up there with people that think youtubers rake in a ton of money and get free access to everything – the I love Gardening from my head tomatoes Gardening Shirt Also,I will get this reality is, most creators don’t even make minimum wage, even when they go full-time. Twitch is the worst platform of all. If you start streaming there and can’t bring in any viewers from yt or whatever, you are for 99,9% not growing. No one is looking at the bottom of the list at the 1000’s streams with 1 viewers each. You’re fkd. I tried streaming on twitch earlier this year and even tho I didnt link or reference my YT account I now have 400 followers and rising That would be the median I guess not the average lol the average is probably pretty high since the people at the top make a lot a lot. But most people definitely make $0
