I was so addicted that I just figured I would smoke forever. Now that I have quit for good for many years, I can’t believe I dealt with all that nonsense. Stopping the I lost my broom so i became a web developer T-Shirt in contrast I will get this addiction to cigarettes is truly liberating. It is really like gaining another level of freedom. I switched to vaping for a year and then was able to quit vaping. This helped because it’s definitely true they put extra stuff in cigarettes that make you more addicted. When I stopped vaping, it was more annoying than anything. It’s definitely more bareable than cigarettes. Quiting can totally be done, and it’s totally worth it for an extreme quality of life improvement. As a reminder, I never thought I would be able to quit. Even just moving to vaping is better than cigarettes. It’s OK to do it in steps

Way to go! It’s very liberation. I had to always make time for my smoking. Morning smoke, after meal smoke, before arrival somewhere smoke, before bed smoke. And man are they expensive! I’m so glad you were able to quit cig and vaping. Good job! Thank you, I feel you on that morning cigarette. The actual physical addiction is amazingly pretty short. It’s all changing routines to avoid triggers after that. Another thing people should do is not wait until the pack is done, I knew I was done when I quit after just paying two packs. Same with vaping, I just bought new cartridges, and something clicked in my brain to stop. There is no reason to memorialize the occasion by focusing on dates. Just do it, and you can look back later when you are in a better headspace. This helps a lot when you mess up because you are easily able to just move on and keep trying instead of trying to find another great date or wait till that last cigarette is gone. If you mess up, don’t beat yourself up about it. Start again right away and learn what you can do differently next time. FYI: I know you specifically don’t need this information, I’m just really hoping someone sees our exchange and understands that it’s hard at first but becomes easier pretty quickly after.
