In Germany we have the word „doch“. For example: If you say something and the other one says that’s not true you simply say „doch“ Ooh, we have something like this in Norwegian! We say “jo”, which is like a more insistent form of “ja” specifically for doubling down when someone is trying to deny what you are saying. You can use “yes” in a similar way, but it doesn’t feel strong or precise enough. In Dutch we have a handy word called “beterschap” it’s just, is someone feeling sick, ill or in any way hurt, you can use this. It kind of means “get better soon” and “best of luck with what you’re dealing with” at once
