They did not lie. When they said it, it was “the I Like Me watercolor T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this law of the land”. And it still is. But laws change for various reasons, and this one might change too. You don’t like that it might be overturned, but it doesn’t mean they lied. They told the truth as it was at the time of their hearings. They misled the Senators about their understanding and intentions. As Republicans always scream about, judges don’t make the law. These six are activist judges changing settled law. Apparently Republicans are only against that when they disagree with they judges… While people in closed conversations outside the confirmation process still definitely shouldn’t lie, it’s hard for me to view these confirmation hearings as dissimilar to a person clicking “I’ve read the terms and conditions”.

I Like Me watercolor T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

The dems were going to vote against their confirmation no matter what, so the I Like Me watercolor T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this lying is totally irrelevant. If hey had said “yes I’m going to do a bunch of awful shit” the dems still would have voted the same and the republicans would have voted the same. Only difference is that the dems would have more things to scream at them outside their homes. When they lie to the Senate or the House they are lying to our elected representatives. Which means they are lying to all the people in the US. I think that’s a big deal for a Supreme Court Justice who is supposed to be unpartisan and above politics. I realize they aren’t but they’re supposed to be. Anyways, If the votes are inevitable like you say then why lie?
