I get that sometimes you are late but this is sad af and only makes you look like a bad parent. I sincerely hope you don’t make a habit out of this. Just staring into a void. I know y’all think this is funny or whatever. All I see, as my partner is a daycare/Pre-K teacher, is a kid whose parent leaves their child in daycare all day. And what would your suggestion be? Take the child to work with them? And what does your partner have to do with the picture? How do you know it isnt fun for the child or caregiver, did you ask them? You assume too many things I can’t believe that parenting has turned into “before I rush in to embrace my child in their loneliest of moments, I’ve got to take a photo on my phone to publish to the internet”. You suck and your child deserves better. Delete this atrocity of a post, as it is nothing more than a cry for attention via the internet PERFECTLY mirrored by your child’s loneliness. I know you mentioned that the teacher was there just out of shot but children that age are not developmentally aware that people they can’t see exist elsewhere outside of their realm of vision. It makes me wonder if he’s feeling completely alone in that moment. Once again I’m not saying that the teacher was doing anything wrong ( I used to teach preschool and taught both infant and toddler classes), This is just how the end of the day often looks. But still, to me it’s just a sad pic
