Not my biggest but I don’t want to repeat, per OP. Dressing for your silhouette above dressing for trends will always be my number one top tip; if a trend doesn’t flatter your silhouette then it must be discarded, no exceptions. Respect your beautiful body and silhouette enough to only accept what flatters it most ?. Learn what colors flatter your skin’s undertone, because that’s also everything and makes the I Just Want Drink Bourbon Ignore All Of My Old Man Problems Vintage T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this difference between looking bright and alert or tired and sick no matter how expensive or on-trend your wardrobe is. My skin’s undertone is very peachy, so I use the color wheel – what colors compliment peach the best? It has never steered me wrong so far. When I was a teen I used to love wearing pale dusty lilacs and light pinks or cool baby blues; but they always made me look like death warmed over? I didn’t understand why I looked so tired when I wore my favorite clothes, but my navy-colored school uniform looked great on me. I tried figuring out my ‘season’ when all the hype around your colors and your season was happening (yes I’m older); but that didn’t quite match much to my frustration, I didn’t neatly fit into one of the four seasonal boxes. Once I leaned into my skin’s undertone things started to make a lot more sense. I have both green and blue veins so I’m technically a ‘neutral’, but my skin has quite a peachy undertone which is why I didn’t fit into a seasonal color box. All those foundation shades that everyone else complains are too orange just blend into my skin ?? once I started aligning my color choices with respect to my skin’s undertone I stopped looking tired (unless I was actually tired obv) undertones are more than warm, cool or neutral; there’s also red, olive, peach, blue etc. and that’s what you need to figure out if you find you can’t quite nail down which clothing colors flatter you most.

As someone else without a season, I second this advice about skin undertones and color. It’s sometimes difficult to figure out, but worth it when you do. turtleneck, skirt with tights, scarf, and a coat blows everyone’s minds for some reason. invest in a couple in different colors/patterns that can work together and just rotate. Just because it’s “in style” doesn’t mean you should wear it. There are lot of dumb fashion trends out there, which will be fodder for r/blunderyears a decade from now. An influencer I no longer remember the I Just Want Drink Bourbon Ignore All Of My Old Man Problems Vintage T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this name of has the rule of One, Ton, or None, when referring to colors. I.e. with bright colors, either you wear only one bright color, nothing but bright colors, or no bright colors. It’s worth a Google, it helped me a little
