You’re not being silly. Has your friend never seen an episode of “Dora the I get my attitude from my freakin’ awesome Dad born in January shirt but in fact I love this Explorer”? SEAT BELTS. SO WE CAN BE SAFE. Well, it shows that she disregards her safety, takes unnecessary risks, can’t be reasoned with, and is a bit selfish… among other things… is she okay? Why wont she wear a seatbelt? I’m very strict on this. Why? Because my friend from school was the only person in a car of 5 that got into an accident that wasn’t wearing a seat belt. He was also the only one that died. Whilst everyone else was OK, not even that injured, he was thrown through the windscreen from the back seat onto the road and died on impact. I will not take anyone anywhere if they don’t wear their seat belt. Because it can literally kill you, and I’m not having that on my conscience.

I worked in automotive safety as an engineer for a couple decades and started in airbag.
