Not me, but I have an Army friend who was shot in his left shoulder and he explained it. I’ll have to shorten it down, but will try to be as verbatim as possible, and with less profanity haha: At first it was very quick and subtle. An acute thud followed by needle like feeling. Not a vaccine needle, significantly bigger, and HOT! It was very hot for a few seconds. I didn’t feel much after that. Maybe 20-30 seconds. Between being in shock and the I don’t want to I don’t have to you can’t make me I’m retired cat shirt in other words I will buy this adrenaline rush, I felt minimal pain. About 4 hours later, that’s when the waves of pain came. It punched right through the pain killers. This thread breaks my heart. My little senior dog was shot multiple times with BB’s that are permanently lodged inside of her. She’s got about 12. .45 fragment ricochet to the abdomen. Felt like a hard punch to the gut followed by a white hot burning sensation. Had about a quarter inch of penetration and I was able to bandage the wound after popping the metal out.

3 in my right thigh, went straight thru, still have some scar tissue and hurts every now and then. Initially I didn’t know I was shot at all, it’s a much longer story with someone attempting to rob me, but when I got back inside my house, my brother saw I was bleeding inside my jeans, then only once I saw it, I felt it. For me, I was shot on accident by my cousin while dove hunting with a 12ga shotgun & birdshot at about 20 yards. The strangest thing was feeling a wave of intense sensation from my torso up before hearing the I don’t want to I don’t have to you can’t make me I’m retired cat shirt in other words I will buy this gun go off. Popping out birdshot like popping pimples was strange. My sunglasses saved my eye, had one go thru my nose, and a couple of pellets that were too deep in my neck formed knots around them and eventually dissolved I guess. Cops showed up crazy fast to the hospital (same hospital that the guy Dick Cheney shot went to oddly enough)
