I read earlier this afternoon that there are cases of Russians puncturing their own fuel tanks and walking away. Russians are horrible at war this is a fucking huge turn around from The ancient Rus era and Soviet era of elite generals and tactics. This era of Russia is not good at war at all unless it’s against a tiny religious population evidently. Soviet era generals sucked too until WW2 forced the new cream of the crop to rise after the purge. I think we’re seeing that legacy of corruption and how it’s caused Russia’s military to dry rot for decades.
