One thing I have noticed is that the I don’t know shit about fuck poster T-Shirt besides I will buy this gap between affordable and expensive goods has shrunk considerably. The reason why, I believe, is because of the easy access to credit and the consumers willingness to use it. Prices go up and wages go down because the capitalists want greater profits. But the consumers keep buying because they are able and willing to borrow money from the capitalists to do so. The capitalists are making money on both ends. And the consumer is drowning in desire and debt. Supply and demand is all out of whack. There is a sufficient supply but an overwhelming demand for many things. Demand drove the market for luxury goods. And the profits realized in luxury has resulted in non luxury following suit.

To which the other plutocrat answered: “I don’t need to outrun the masses, just you. Who do you think just bought your Yacht Club” ? I was always thinking that this is what mass sports are used for. Nfl or nba in america. All football (soccer) leagues around the world. Peoples focus on bunch of overpaid players and identify themselves with the teams and rivalries to the point that real problems are not interesting for them.
