Your regular, mass-produced, gas-ripened tomatoes taste of, well, nothing. They’re just red blobs of water. Now, vine-ripened cherry tomatoes that are sold still on the I dont have an attitude problem you have a problem with my attitude cow shirt in other words I will buy this vine … That’s Nature’s candy! I can pop so many of those bad boys in my mouth! Well worth the extra £ IMO. Wait what???? Gas ripened tomatoes? Wow. TIL. I live in Africa. Our tomatoes just kinda… Grow… I currently have about 7 plants growing in the flower beds that the birds deposited for me. As someone from India, i sometimes can’t believe the amount of stuff we get fresh here. Someone here said food ingredients, and i wanted to add to avoid the packets as much as possible and use fresh or homemade stuff as much as possible. No cream will equal the one made at home with good milk. Same for stuff like turmeric or chilli powder. We get the raw spices and grind them in the mixer. I don’t think i ever use a store bought ginger or garlic paste. It’s so easy to make myself, and the flavours are amazing. It tastes so much better. I once made some tomato sauce myself and didn’t buy the store one again. I know one can’t do this with everything, but it is one cooking tip that I’ve noticed makes a ton of different with the flavour.

Edit: on the I dont have an attitude problem you have a problem with my attitude cow shirt in other words I will buy this same note, fresh meat bought in the morning from the butchers shop is ten times better than any big store frozen meat. If you set your expectations before flying a budget airline they aren’t bad. Spirit is the only airline that flies direct from my city to Los Angeles first thing in the morning. I have lounge access with my Amex so I always load up my backpack with snacks and the 5 hour flight is nothing. I guess if you have a bad back or something you want a larger seat but I’m young enough to make it work. Maybe I’m lucky but I’ve never had a Spirit/Frontier, etc flight be delayed. My worst experiences have been with Southwest, they’ve literally paid me thousands of dollars for all their mess ups. Cat food. That shit is hardly regulated. My feline friend deserves better. Also toilet paper. Ain’t fun picking off dried toilet paper pieces.
