Tl;dr: It’s entirely possible someone else had played those mind games on the I don’t care what anyone thinks of me except cows shirt What’s more,I will buy this person you spoke to, so they have been conditioned to expect the worst and wonder if you are being genuine or not. It’s usually not ill will from them, more so they are EXPECTING ill will from others because they are used to it already, and compliments etc. are the furthest thing from their mind. Which fucking sucks for everyone involved. Yeah that’s just a people-who-play-games vs those-who-don’t kinda thing. All of us who don’t play games find that shit annoying lol. Just clarify you meant what you said and didn’t mean anything else by it. Hopefully the person can eventually adapt to your straightforward communication style.

I don’t care what anyone thinks of me except cows shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

When I say something like “this doesn’t help”, a certain someone I know understands “you’re making it worse on purpose and I hate you for it”, when I just mean exactly what I said and how I said it, no more no less. not to take away from this sentiment, but this is also exactly what it was like growing up in a household of manipulative people who only wanted you to be a certain version of yourself that they were willing to accept…. this is the I don’t care what anyone thinks of me except cows shirt What’s more,I will buy this language previous generations used, and continue to use, to confuse and distort the reality of yourself. one of my fav quotes is from a book the movie “annihilation” was based on: “this is how the madness of the world tries to colonize you, from the outside, in. Forcing you to live in its reality”. et al
