7 months and only 26 applications is an abysmal effort in trying to find a job. I probably submit that many apps over that course of time when I’m casually looking. If you’re truly committed to a specific industry and track, you need to be hardcore networking in that space because you’re severely limiting yourself on a slew of opportunities leveraging the I Don’t Care About Your Becky Lynch Stupid Feelings T-Shirt but in fact I love this same skill set. Applying to a job means nothing to the hiring manager if I don’t know you and if I have other applicants I have a relationship with. Charlie Day said it best when told to get a job: “Just get a job? Why don’t I strap on my job helmet, and squeeze down into a job cannon,?!!!” Even he knows it takes effort.

I Don’t Care About Your Becky Lynch Stupid Feelings T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I relate to this almost entirely, up to the I Don’t Care About Your Becky Lynch Stupid Feelings T-Shirt but in fact I love this resume part as I’ve had my reviewed several times. But it’s coming up on a year for me and I can’t even get a job at my old coffee shop that I was a supervisor for at multiple locations for 3 years. It’s insane. And with my financial needs (and especially student loans), I unfortunately can’t just accept anything if it doesn’t pay enough or offer enough hours. I’m still being very flexible, but it’s just like, there’s nothing. No one is willing to hire someone with so little professional experience despite over a decade of non-professional experience. And outside of the fields I’m going for, they can easily find people more qualified as well. I seem to fit into this weird little niche where I’m not qualified enough for anything, and no one seems to be very flexible in their hiring or recruitment qualifications. And this is with a communications degree, which should be able to apply to SO much!
